Vaiga wants to learn from the last Libertadores and says: 'I wanted to win more than everyone else'

Palmeras lost 1-0 to Flamengo in the final in Lima, Peru on Saturday night.

Raphael Veiga wants to take Palmeiras' defeat against Flamengo in the Libertadores final as a "lesson" for the future.Speaking to the press after the match, the midfielder positively analyzed Verdão's marking proposal during the match, but regretted the result of the defeat.

"I think sometimes we can play again. We know that Flamanto will have more wealth, I thought, said the Palestinian.

In his analysis of the defeat, Veiga denied the players were nervous about the decision, contradicting Abel Ferreira's post-match speech.At the press conference, the coach replied that the players sometimes lack "the courage to control the ball under pressure".

Even in a disappointing moment after the defeat, Vega doesn't see his cycle at the Allianz Park ending any time soon.His current contract runs until the end of 2027.

"I love Palmeiras. I'm upset that this happened today. I wanted more than anyone to win and bring the joy they deserve to Sao Paulo. There's still a lot to happen which will be a learning experience", he said.
