Stellantis marks the production of 1 million GSE Turbo family engines at the Betim (MG) automotive complex.
The Minas Gerais plant has the largest power generation facility in South America with world-class engines. The facility has a total production capacity of 1.1 million high-efficiency, low-production engines per year. Last year, the facility was expanded and began power generation linked to bio-hybrid technology, which was used in the first hybrid-flex models developed and produced in the region. Almost 50 years old, the Bedim complex has technological independence for all stages of car development.

Betim, 13 November 2025 – Stellantis celebrates another important milestone in its history in South America: the production of 1 million GSE Turbo family engines at the Betim Automotive Complex (MG).Designed in Brazil, these engines began production in 2021 at the Minas Gerais plant, with notable improvements in fuel consumption and emissions.By reducing and bringing together technologies that deliver superior performance and sustainability.

The Bedim hub is the largest powertrain manufacturing hub in Latin America.The facility was expanded last year and now has a total production capacity of 1.1 million high-performance, low-emission engines per year, including GSE turbo engines and the iconic Firefly family.
The power unit produced by the Betim engine line complements the biological technology developed and manufactured in South America.
